The North Central Area Agency on Aging, Inc. (NCAAA) invites organizations that serve older persons and their families to apply for designation as a community Focal Point. Focal Point sites (click here for our 2018-2021 partners) are visible, recognized places where members of a community can find information and gain access to a full range of aging services.
Every three to four years NCAAA solicits the addition of new Focal Points throughout the region and engages in the recertification of our current Focal Points as part of our Area Plan process.
Designated focal point sites will:
- become part of an information network;
- be given local and regional recognition and publicity; and
- visibly demonstrate their contribution to the community.
Senior centers, social services departments, libraries, hospitals, and universities are some examples of organizations currently serving as Focal Points. We are always looking for new partners to help us broaden the availability of programs and services to our friends and neighbors.
Please select here for copies of the Application Overview and the corresponding Checklist which is available in PDF fillable format by request. Please remember after filling in your Checklist to rename your document and “save as” before closing out of the document.
If you would like a hard-copy mailed to you, or the PDF fillable format emailed to you, please send an email to: email@example.com with “Focal Point” in the subject line. Or, call Maureen McIntyre at (860) 724-6443 x 283, ask for a “Focal Point Application”, and leave your name, address, and the organization name.
If you are a current Focal Point, letters will be sent out this week along with the brief two-page Checklist for any changes/updates.
Thank you all and we encourage you to help us grow and strengthen the Elder Network in North Central CT.
